End Violence - 4thU V Day Party

Did you know that one out of every three women in the world will be abused during her lifetime? In a world that we consider modern, this is a staggering statistic that desperately needs to be improved. Sadly, abuse can effect more than just the woman being directly harmed. The Family Violence Prevention Fund performed studies in which results showed that, “Growing up in a violent home may be a terrifying and traumatic experience that can affect every aspect of a child’s life, growth and development.” No woman or child should ever have to bear the burden of this brutality.

We believe that all of us have the power to put an end to violence against women, which is why we’re lending a hand to this year’s 4thU V-Day Valentine’s Day Benefit. This beautiful party will feature guest speaker Judy Norsigian, who is the the Executive Director of Our Bodies Ourselves. Also known as the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective (BWHBC), OBOS is a nonprofit, public interest women’s health education, advocacy, and consulting organization. Norsigian and OBOS not only help end violence against women, but also empower them to be active and powerful members of their communities.

There will be live music, cocktails, appetizers, and the company of other lovely women. We invite you to join us.
